翡翠(ヒスイ)は元々は白い石ですが、鉄やクロムを含有すると緑色に、微量の鉄やチタンを含有すると紫色になります。日本でも昔から祭事や祝い事に欠かせない石で、呪いをかける呪いの石としても使用されていました。一時は金よりも価値があるとされ、とても珍重されていました。宝石質でないものが多いのですが、日本でも採取されます。

紫陽花をモチーフに、刺繍の様な立体的な織柄をアクセントにいれたオリジナルテキスタイル。糸を先に染めてから織る”先染”は沢山の意図の色が美しく重なり合う、奥深く不思議な色。表と裏で生地の色が違うので刺している本人も中から見る楽しさがあります。

ストールや洋服を作る際に出てしまう残布を使用して、就労継続支援B型事業所 [ムジナの庭]で作っていただきました。
